The Women of Project Management Atlanta Conference was a professional development event designed to empower women working in project management through education, connection, and leadership development. This project was a design-only engagement, completed in collaboration with an event planning company responsible for logistics and execution.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a cohesive, professional, and elevated visual identity that reflected the strength, leadership, and credibility of women in project management—while working within a collaborative environment alongside an external event planning team.

Because this was a design-only role, all creative decisions needed to be clearly documented, easily transferable, and adaptable for execution by another team—without compromising the integrity of the design vision.

The Goal

The goal was to develop a polished event brand system that:

  • Felt professional, empowering, and credible

  • Translated seamlessly across digital and physical touchpoints

  • Supported visibility, wayfinding, and attendee experience

  • Gave the planning team clear creative direction for execution

Every design element needed to work together to present a unified, confident brand presence throughout the conference.

The Strategy

The strategy focused on building a strong visual foundation that could be applied consistently across all event assets. This included developing a clear event identity, paired with modular design elements that could be scaled across signage, stage design, and digital platforms.

Key considerations included:

  • Creating a versatile event logo and emblem system

  • Designing stage and photo op visuals that photographed well

  • Ensuring signage and attendee materials were clear and readable

  • Designing assets that could be easily produced and installed by the event planning team

Clear communication and thoughtful design documentation were essential to the success of this collaboration.

The Solution

I led the event’s brand identity and design direction, delivering:

  • Event logo design

  • Company emblem design and commemorative pin

  • Stage design and backdrop concepts

  • Photo op design for attendee engagement

  • Banner design for branding and conference directions

  • Name tag and lanyard design

  • Sales page design to promote the event

All designs were delivered with clear specifications to support seamless handoff to the event planning and production teams.

The Result

The Women of Project Management Atlanta Conference launched with a cohesive, professional visual identity that reinforced the organization’s mission and elevated the attendee experience. The branding translated seamlessly across digital marketing, on-site signage, and stage design—creating a polished and unified presence throughout the event.

This collaboration demonstrated how strong design direction can enhance an event’s impact, even when execution is handled by a separate planning team.

Designer’s Note

This project highlights my ability to collaborate effectively within multi-team environments and deliver design systems that are both visually compelling and execution-ready. By focusing on clarity, consistency, and scalability, I was able to support the event planning team while ensuring the final experience reflected the strength and professionalism of the Women of Project Management brand.
